How to Add/Remove Liquidity

Liquidity is essential how Decentralized Exchanges like 9inch or PulseX work. You can add liquidity by binding two tokens and "staking" them in the Liquidity page.

In return for providing liquidity, you will earn trading fees on that pair and receive Nine Inch LP tokens (NINE LP), that you can stake in the Farms to earn $BBC token as reward.

In this section you will learn how to add and remove liquidity on 9inch.

Add liquidity

Go to the Liquidity page.

Note

Your liquidity pairs will show up here under Your Liquidity.

Unique user friendly feature of 9inch, if you stake your LP to a Farm, you will still be able to see and access the LP from Liquidity page. It will have a "staked" notion on the LP when it is deployed into a Farm.

Click [Add Liquidity]

Next, from the drop down menus, select the desired token pair you want to provide liquidity for.

Here in this example ETH and BBC.

Input the desired amounts to provide.

Here it was chosen to provide 1000 $BBC and $ETH ratio was automatically calculated.

If you are new to LP read this!

You can input an amount on either one of the text fields. If there is already liquidity for that pair, the other field will be automatically estimated.

If you are the first liquidity provider, you get to choose the ratio, or value between the tokens and you need to input a value in both fields.

Please take into consideration token prices when you provide new pairs. If your price ratio is not in line with other LP pairs, your LP might get bought by MEV bots until the token ratios match the price in other LP pairs. This could lead to impermanent loss.

If needed, first [Enable] both tokens

Depending on your wallet app, it might ask to set a token spending limit how much you can use, before it needs to ask for a new spending limit.

Once you have enabled both tokens, click [Supply]

You will get a more detailed view of the token ratios and of your share of the total LP pair.

Review and [Confirm Supply]

Your wallet will ask for confirmation. Review and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Wait for the blockchain to accept the transaction.

Your liquidity will now show up in the Liquidity page.

Remove liquidity

Go to the Liquidity page.

Note

Your liquidity pairs will show up here under Your Liquidity, but if you then stake LP to Farms, they will not show up here anymore, as they are deposited in the corresponding Farms contract to earn $BBC rewards

Click on the drop down menu to expand for a more detailed view of your LP pair.

Once you have expanded the tab, you can choose to either [Remove] or Add liquidity instead.

Click [Remove]

Choose how much LP you want to remove. Here 75% was chosen.

Once you are happy with how much to remove, first click [Enable]. Your wallet will ask to review and sign the message in your wallet.

Then you can proceed to [Remove]. Review and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Once the transaction is accepted by the blockchain, the LP is burned and corresponding amount of token pairs are returned to your wallet address.
